Mazamet. A giant farm of 800 animals at the Halle

the essentials This is a highly anticipated event which will bring together hundreds of animal specimens under the Halle de Mazamet this weekend.

On November 9 and 10, the Mazamet market hall will be transformed into a veritable giant farm on the occasion of the 64th poultry exhibition, organized by the Society of Aviculture, Pigeon Breeding, Ornithology and Aquariophily of the Montagne Noire (SACAOMN ). Open to all, this exhibition will welcome nearly 800 animal specimens – pigeons, chickens, roosters, geese, ducks, rabbits – from all over France.

This year, the exhibition presents a unique opportunity for the public to familiarize themselves with rare breeds of animals and discover unsuspected varieties of plumage, shapes and characteristics, demonstrating the care and passion of breeders to maintain and perfect these breeds.

The exhibition is not limited to a simple presentation: the best specimens will be rewarded and several regional championships will take place there, notably the South-West regional pigeon championship of Modena and the USASO regional championship for pigeons, chickens and structures.

Rare animal breeds

As opportunities to interact with animals become increasingly rare, this event serves as a reminder of the crucial importance of preserving biodiversity. Through their passionate and rigorous work, breeders play an essential role in the conservation of species and raise public awareness of the issues linked to this natural wealth.

For animal lovers, young and old, this 64th edition promises a unique dive into the colorful and varied world of livestock farming, reminding everyone of the strong link between rural traditions and wildlife preservation.

Meet on November 9 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. under the Halle de Mazamet organized by the Society of Poultry, Pigeon, Ornithology and Aquarium of the Montagne Noire (SACAOMN).
