Among all the expenses and taxes to keep the car compliant, there is another mandatory one from which no one is exempt.
Owning a car today is a great convenience, but let’s face it: keeping your vehicle in good standing requires more and more Attention (e moneyObviously). Anyone who has a car knows well how important (and inevitable) it is to follow the deadlines and pay the stampinsurance and so on.
However, there is another expense that is often underestimated. The latter, mandatory, ensures that the vehicle is safe to circulate, but involves an outlay notable that sometimes it feels like just another hit to the wallet.
And it’s not just a question of “having to pay”, but also of organizing yourself, making an appointment, finding the time to do it… in short, a lot of flapping more. The penalties for those who drive without one are quite steep, and the risk of getting fines is not low.
However, for many, it adds up all these mandatory expenses the ordinary management of the car can become really burdensome. And it is in these cases that a bit of frustration sets in: it is always us citizens who have to bear these costs and adapt to each new obligation, often without real alternatives.
Obligation to keep the vehicle up to code
And here we come to a crucial point: the periodic reviewrequired by article 80 of the Highway Code, is not just a formality. For every vehicle in circulation, it must be ensured that they comply with the regulations safety and those anti-pollution. The checks include brakes, lights, emissions… in short, key elements for safe driving and public health. Yes, it’s an expense, but let’s face it, it also makes sense, especially when we’re talking about road safety.
If you consider that the expense varies depending on the structure chosen for the inspection, it becomes clear why many motorists complain. At the Civil Motorization it costs “only” 45 eurobut at a private center arrives at 79,02 euro. It may seem like a small difference, but for those who struggle to keep up with the many car expenses every detail counts. Add the stamp duty and all the other mandatory expenses, and this too becomes a budget issue.

Maintain the car between obligations and fixed costs
There is no escape for those who own a car. Even those who don’t use it are often forced to pay, including road tax and inspections. It seems like every aspect is taxed e regulatedand every motorist, without exception, has to deal with these fixed outputs. Even those who only use the car for a few trips or errands are required to respect all deadlines and keep the vehicle in perfect order, otherwise they risk sanctions.
And this, obviously, applies to every type of vehicle, from small cars to the largest and most expensive models. There are no exemptions for anyone: the system is designed so that everyone is asked to contribute. Ultimately, it is a sum of small costs which, adding up year after year, end up weighing on the budget. Even those who think they can save money by using the car as little as possible, in fact, find themselves having to support them anyway unavoidable expenses.
