Dusseldorf. In Düsseldorf, 90 trees will have to be felled in the coming weeks. What is the purpose and where the work takes place.
The city of Düsseldorf has to cut down 90 diseased or dead trees that are not stable or break-proof. The state capital has now announced this. The work is necessary as a result of the city’s tree inspections to ensure traffic safety and will begin in the coming days. The trees are inspected beforehand for breeding holes and nests.
Of the 90 trees, 52 are street trees and 38 are in green areas. The city said 18 trees have already died and another 22 are currently dying.
