Online lecture: Everyday drug sugar – what does it do to us?

Description:

What does sugar do to us? Dr. answers these and other questions about our diet. Anja Schockenberger in this current online lecture from the Fulda District VHS.

On average, every person in Germany consumes around 34 kg of sugar per year. That is about four times as much as is currently recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). It’s no longer a secret that too much sugar in our food and drink can lead to overweight and obesity with a variety of secondary diseases such as cancer. The lecture provides basic knowledge about nutrients (fats, proteins, sugar) and explains what sugar does in the body. You will learn to understand a nutritional table and get easy-to-implement tips for sensible nutrition in everyday life.

Participation in this lecture is currently only possible online. A computer with a good internet connection is required. Please enter an email address when registering; only then can we send you the access data. During the lecture you can ask the lecturer questions in the chat.
