“Krasnodar” took another big step towards the title of at least the winter champion. Murad Musaev’s team won their 11th victory in a row in the RPL – now over Orenburg. The Bulls maintained a three-point lead over Zenit.

Orenburg tried to move the game away from their own penalty area. Sliskovich’s team, by pressing in the middle block, briefly calmed the hosts and organized several counterattacks. This turned Krasnodar on, and Musaev’s team returned to their football. The hosts’ coach himself freshened up the game with substitutions, including midfielder Kozlov. But Sliskovich changed the striker – Baranovsky came on. And the two young students of Zenit, whom Andrei Arshavin singled out so much, became the heroes of the following bright episodes. It was Kozlov who scored Krasnodar’s second goal (and his first in the RPL for the Bulls) in the 73rd minute, completing a cool combination involving Gonzalez, Spertsyan and Batchi.
