Ministry of Agriculture and Food published for public discussion the guidelines for applying for interventions for new, small and young farmers from the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas 2023-2027, financed through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Their aim is to promote employment, preserve existing jobs and open new ones, which will contribute to the economic and social development of rural areas.

The intervention “Start-up aid for establishing new farmers in agriculture” will start for the first time since the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy in our country. It stimulates an increase in the number of new farmers by ensuring sustainable development and facilitating structural changes in agriculture. The total amount of the grant under the procedure is EUR 20 million.
The intervention “Start-up aid for establishing young farmers in agriculture” will aim to facilitate and support the process of creating viable and sustainable farms. In addition, it will also support young people with already existing farms. The total amount of the grant under the procedure is EUR 90 million.
The third intervention “Supporting very small farms” aims to increase viability, accelerate modernization and technological renewal of farmers. The total amount of the grant under the procedure is EUR 30 million.
Applications for assistance under these procedures will be submitted entirely electronically through the Electronic Management System (EMS).
Agricultural extension services will assist the listed groups of farmers for whom this assistance will be free of charge.
