The Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) issued an agreement establishing that all students from the various schools that make up the Military Educational System must sign a “connection contract” that will replace the commitment letter that the students signed. , with the purpose of “strengthening military discipline” and unifying the causes for which a student can be discharged for engaging in acts of misconduct, committing acts that “denigrate military dignity” or poor academic performance.
The military institution published the agreement in the Official Gazette of the Federation, in order to comply with the modifications made in previous months, in which section III of article 36 of the Disciplinary Law of the Mexican Army and Air Force was reformed, in which empowers the Honor Council to agree to the discharge from the Army and Air Force due to determination of misconduct, for troop personnel, military personnel of the auxiliary class and students of the Military Educational System.
