At the moment, the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Valencia has not received any official information confirming the publications that appeared in the media about a Bulgarian citizen who was found dead as a result of the floods in Spain. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Spanish authorities, the identity of only about 40 of all the confirmed victims of the floods is currently known. The process of identifying the identity of the bodies found requires relatives to file a complaint with the police about the disappearance of their relative, then provide a DNA sample for comparison. According to the Spanish authorities, more than 1,900 people are missing.
