The Fanano Domani minority council group is perplexed about the state of cleanliness of the municipal house and the public library. In recent days he presented a question to the mayor for clarification on the organization of cleaning in these places “due to the presence of clear signs of neglect of the hygiene of the environments which has continued for many months”, denounces the group leader Paola Pasquali. He adds: “Anyone who accesses the municipal offices, both via the external stairs, where there is moss, and the internal ones, can observe poor care of the rooms and corridors. We understand that the cleaning work of the municipal house has not been entrusted to a specialized company, but are carried out “as needed” by the municipal employees themselves. Workplace hygiene is essential for the safety and health of employees and for the decorum of the municipal building, which represents all the citizens of Fanano. It is the employer’s duty to guarantee the cleanliness and safety of the environments, in accordance with the legislative decrees of 2008 and 2009 of the Consolidated Law on safety at work. It specifies that the regulations provide that the employer must take care regular cleaning of the environments, possibly outside working hours. “The employer’s responsibility – recalls the group leader – also extends to accessory environments such as archives, libraries and warehouses, where adequate hygiene and cleanliness must be guaranteed” . In the question, Fanano Domani asks the mayor if it is true that the municipal employees themselves are responsible for cleaning. “If so – we read in the document – how is the employment relationship of the employees regulated for the time dedicated to cleaning, if this activity is foreseen in their contracts, if the cleaning work is carried out during or after working hours of work and who are the municipal employees in charge of cleaning. As regards the municipal library in via Torre 1, Pasquali states that cleaning is carried out by volunteers who keep the service open and that the bathroom of the structure is used not only by visitors. of the Library, but also as a public bathroom for people passing by. He asks again if it is true that the cleaning of the bathroom is entrusted to the volunteers who keep the library open”. If, however, the cleaning work of the municipal house is entrusted to a specialized company, ask to know its name, the weekly frequency in which the cleaning takes place, the methods of assigning the task and the cost.
