Perleberg wants to continue working on its image as a bicycle-friendly city and is once again turning to its citizens. After the development of the extensive cycling concept, which includes around 200 possible measures to promote cycling in Rolandstadt and which also incorporated suggestions from citizens, the perspective of the Perlebergers is now being asked again.
Votes from at least 50 people from Perleberg are required
You can take part in the ADFC Bicycle Climate Test 2024 survey until November 30th, as city spokesman Renè Hill announced. The survey has been running since September 1st, in which cyclists all over Germany can rate what they think is the level of bike-friendliness in their cities and communities. Its motto is “And what is cycling like where you live?”
It is the eleventh survey of its kind that the ADFC conducts every two years. Perleberg received no rating in the last survey. If a municipality – as in the case of Perleberg – has fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, at least 50 of them must have taken part in the survey in order for this municipality to be included in the nationwide evaluation.
Mayor calls for participation in survey
According to the interim results from October 29th, which can be viewed on the ADFC bicycle climate test website, only 21 people in Perleberg have so far taken part in the current survey.
City leader Axel Schmidt therefore asks the residents of Rolandstadt to take some time for the survey: “The city’s active cyclists can best assess the situation. Answering the questions in the ADFC bicycle climate test 2024 will ultimately result in a status report for Perleberg for me as mayor, as well as the responsible department heads and city councilors.”
With this evaluation result it is possible to talk about necessary and possible changes to the bicycle infrastructure and to address them.
The questionnaire is available online at “ADFC bicycle climate test” to find. If you don’t want to vote digitally, the city information office at Großer Markt has some questionnaires available.
