The former president of the Mexican Swimming Federation (FMN), Kiril Todorov, was provisionally suspended for two years by the World Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU, for its acronym in Spanish). English) to hold any position related to aquatic sports.

“In this context, the defendant has violated the provisional suspension imposed by the AQIU by continuing to act as president of the FMN,” the document states. “The resolution will also prevent you from participating in aquatics-related activities and/or events on behalf of World Aquatics, as well as from attending, in any capacity, international competitions, as defined in article 2.2 of the regulations.”
