The ultra-low-cost airline Volaris El Salvador has today launched its new direct route between San Salvador and Miami, strengthening its network of connections between Central America and the United States. This non-stop flight, which will operate four times a week, seeks to meet the growing demand of Salvadoran and Central American passengers who travel to the United States for family, pleasure and business reasons.
The new route connects the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport in El Salvador with the Miami International Airport. According to Ronny Rodríguez, Director of Sustainability and Corporate Development at Volaris, the expansion responds to the objective of connecting families in the Salvadoran diaspora and offering accessible rates for all travelers.
With this addition, Miami becomes the sixth city in the United States to which Volaris El Salvador offers direct flights, along with New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Houston and Oakland. Since 2022, Volaris El Salvador has increased its presence in the US market, carrying out more than 1,300 operations until August 2024.
Tickets are now available with prices starting at $99 for flights from San Salvador and $70 from Miami, including taxes.
