From November 2, the Museum of Lithuanian Ethnography in Rumšiškės will become the magical center of the festival of lights and lanterns. For the first time, Lithuania‘s largest light and lantern festival “Mysterious Forest” will take place here. This experience will be painted in the brightest colors – visitors will be invited to immerse themselves in the world of lights, lasers and sculptures.
“We are happy that this year we managed to implement a long-term idea and create a unique exhibition in the museum, where we will invite visitors to travel through time and space. The light and laser installations of the “Mysterious Forest” were specially created for the Lithuanian Ethnographic Museum. The museum’s paths, trees and buildings will light up in a mysterious atmosphere, creating a mysterious, mystical and magical space for the whole family. Visitors to the festival can expect not only light shows, but also magnificent sculptures and magical music which together will create a memorable experience for children and adults.
“We are very pleased that during the traditionally dark time of the year our museum lights up with the brightest colors and invites all Lithuanian residents and guests to immerse themselves in a magical journey full of good emotions. The festival not only offers a show, but also interactive entertainment. In the “Forest of Secrets” you will meet its inhabitants and mysterious creatures, you will travel back in time aboard a Viking ship. Visitors will also be invited by unexpected attractions, retro cars or the search for mysterious pirate treasures, and nature lovers will be able to admire the beauties of the Lithuanian forest – huge squirrels hidden among the bright lanterns.
