At least 48 dead, 50 injured in Israeli airstrikes on eastern Lebanon
At least 48 people were killed and 50 others injured in Israeli airstrikes which targeted the town of Baalbek and dozens of surrounding towns and villages in eastern Lebanon on Friday (November 1), Lebanese sources announced.

The Lebanese military sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua that Israeli warplanes and drones carried out 34 strikes in the area, leaving dozens dead and injured.
For their part, Lebanese Civil Defense sources told Hawsh an Nabi.
They added that Civil Defense teams, the Lebanese Red Cross and the Islamic Health Authority are still working to clear the rubble from the destroyed houses, where estimates indicate that 15 people are still missing under the debris.
