The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed his conviction today that the problems in the Caribbean nation are surmountable if we work with unity.
The president pointed out in his account on X that the recovery of the Guantánamo province, after the passage of Hurricane Oscar, is the most recent example.
Díaz-Canel also highlighted on the social network the visits made to the territories affected by the meteorological event and the tours through the provinces of Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey.
Hurricane Oscar, which hit Guantánamo on October 20, caused eight fatalities and extensive material damage.
In addition, it caused heavy rains for several days in the eastern and central provinces of the island.
