“Venom: The Last Dance”: Who are all the symbiotes in the finale? – Cinema News

Marvel fans’ hearts will swell: “Venom 3: The Last Dance” has not just one or two, but a good half a dozen symbiotes that will be involved in the finale, including Agony, Lasher, Phage and more.

The focus of “Venom: The Last Dance” is Eddie Brock and Venom (both played and spoken by Tom Hardy), but while in the previous two films there was only one symbiote boss to defeat, the finale of “ The Last Dance” includes a good half dozen symbiotes. But who are all the colorful creatures fighting together against the xenophages?

There is no clear answer to this, as hardly any of the symbiotes are named in “Venom 3”. Based on the color scheme and the special powers shown, it is possible to speculate in some cases as to which Marvel comic characters were adapted here:

Agony, Lasher and not (!) Toxin

Let’s start with the most important and obvious figure: Dr. Teddy Payne (Juno Temple) combines in the finale with a pink symbiote with Predator-like hair, giving her super speed and lightning powers. This should be a variant of Agony act from the comics.

Dr. Payne’s colleague, who has the beautiful name Sadie Christmas (Clark Backo) Hearing, (after a brief interlude with Venom) is pretty clearly the symbiote Lashereasily recognizable by its green coloring and the four whip-like arms it has.

The case of Detective Patrick Mulligan (Stephen Graham) On the other hand, it’s a little more complicated: In the finale of “Venom 2” he bonded with the well-known symbiote Toxin, but in “Venom 3” we find out that he left to die by toxin and instead a green, snake-like symbiote took possession of him. So maybe there will be something with the toxin comeback suggested by director Kelly Marcel in a future film?

Phage, Scream, Hybrid & more?

From here it gets more complicated because the human characters with whom the remaining symbiotes connect only play a peripheral role and therefore don’t get too much screen time. The Security guard Jim (Jack Brady) However, it seems pretty clear to the yellow symbiote, which is equipped with numerous spikes and tentacle weapons Phage to become. One another scientist could, however, become a variant of the red-yellow symbiont Scream who actually looks more like Agony in the comics, but here seems to have fire powers.

Besides, there is still a powerful blue symbiote that is most reminiscent of Riotwho was already the villain in the first “Venom”. A white-black or silver-black symbiote could be a pointer towards Anti-Venom. And the two-headed symbiote is almost certainly a nod to hybridwhich in the Marvel comics is actually a combination of symbiotes like Lasher, Riot and Phage.

However, as already mentioned at the beginning, all of this only plays a marginal role in “Venom: The Last Dance”. And since all the symbiotes except Agony are killed in the fight against the xenophages, it shouldn’t be of much importance in the future.
