There are police officers and journalists injured in Parotani, where the evista sector of the Movement Towards Socialism is blocking for 19 days and before the seizure of three military units, Mayor Iván Arias reported this Friday afternoon that he will ask the Association of Municipalities of Bolivia (AMB ) support for the “restitution of the rule of law.”
“I am going to contact the president of the AMB, Ana Lucía Reis, mayor of Cobija, and let us take the initiative that as mayors we propose to President Luis Arce that he call a large national meeting as soon as possible to support the restitution measures. and preservation of the rule of law in the country,” said the mayor.
On his social networks, the President denounced: “Groups related to Evo Morales have taken three military units by storm.” He made reference to the actions in the Tropics of Cochabamba.
In this regard, Arias maintained that: “The Evistas have transgressed the local fight, they are taking barracks, they are grabbing weapons that are the property of all Bolivians to defend the homeland. “Here there is a central element that all Bolivians have to discuss, defend the homeland and defend the dignity of Bolivia.”
He stated that President Arce should call a meeting with the participation of several political leaders to “support” his actions. “Bolivia must be saved against these groups that want to establish a different homeland, that want to divide the homeland, that want to impose their criteria,” he expressed.
Unlocks in Parotani
Confrontations with dynamites and gases. Evista blockers also throw stones at the uniformed men; Until 4:30 p.m., they reported at least 25 detainees and a dozen injured.
“It is simply personal ambition, hatred, the thirst for revenge and covering up, if Mr. Evo Morales had presented a program to the country, we would be discussing ideas, proposals and surely disagreeing at a table. But no, there are no proposals here,” lamented the Mayor.
He reiterated that it is a “whim” of the former president. “The President should urgently call a national meeting to explain the measures he is going to take and give him support, regardless of whether we are Masistas or not. Now it is no longer a fight solely between arcistas and evistas,” Arias reflected in an interview with Los Tiempos.
