Against the background of the video, the president noted that the DPRK had tested a new ballistic missile the day before, and “the world is simply watching” as “this threat grows.”
“North Korea has learned to make artillery better. This has already happened thanks to cooperation with Moscow. It has learned to make missiles better – this is already obvious. Now, unfortunately, it will learn modern warfare. The first thousand soldiers from North Korea are not far from the Ukrainian border. Ukrainians will be forced to defend themselves from them. And the world will watch again,” Zelensky said.
He noted that Kyiv has repeatedly said that the aggressor country Russia should not be allowed to “search for and find accomplices.”
“What unites Pyongyang with Moscow? Only the desire to fight. Now we see every site where Russia is accumulating these soldiers from North Korea on its territory – all their camps. We could strike preventively if we had this opportunity to strike far enough “And this depends on the partners. But instead of such a necessary range, America is watching, Britain is watching, Germany is watching. Everyone is just waiting for the North Korean military to start striking the Ukrainians,” the president emphasized.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine knows all the logistics between the Russian Federation and the DPRK, which “helps Russian aggression,” and this logistics “must be blocked.”
“This depends, among other things, on the strong states of Asia. It depends on China, which talks so much about ending the war. But it itself is watching. And while the words are being spoken, military personnel from North Korea are going to the front,” the president pointed out. “Everyone in the world who really wants to ensure that this war of Russia against Ukraine does not expand, and that the war from Europe does not spread to other regions of the world – everyone must not just observe. We must act. […] so that words about the inadmissibility of escalation and expansion of the war coincide with actions.”
North Korea’s participation in the war in Europe is a threat to the whole world that must be stopped, Zelensky concluded.
