November 1, 2024. – Prior to the Day of the Dead celebration and with the purpose of preserving Mexican traditions, the Ignacio Allende Primary School in the state capital held an alfeñique workshop and set up a Day of the Dead altar in the central courtyard of the educational institution.
In the same way, this activity is part of the series of actions promoted by the institution to encourage coexistence among the entire school community, said the director of the school, teacher, María Velia Muñoz Álvarez.
The alfeñique workshop, which was led by members of the School Council for Social Participation (CEPS), is not only an activity that allows students to learn about this sweet tradition, but also encourages creativity and work in equipment.
Between sweets, colors and a lot of activity, this week the coordination of teachers, parents, as well as students prepared various activities, projects and works on the occasion of the Day of the Dead, which is favoring the rescue of Mexican traditions.
Among the activities that were carried out this week, there was the alfeñique workshop, where students participated in coordination with teachers and their families.
