The man himself took the young woman to the hospital so that no one would be suspicious. The first case was for unnatural death.
Bhubaneswar: A man and his two female friends have been arrested in connection with the unnatural death of a young woman in Odisha. A few days ago, 26-year-old Subhasree Nayak, who was in critical condition, was taken to the hospital by her husband. He told the doctors that he had tried to kill himself. He died before reaching the hospital. On getting information from the hospital, the police reached the spot and registered a case of unnatural death.
But when the results of the post-mortem examination were received days later, the police suspected that the cause of death was not suicide. The post-mortem report stated that a large amount of anesthetic drug was found in the body and that was the cause of death. With this, her husband Pradyumna Kumar, who is also a pharmacist, was arrested and questioned. That’s when the information about the murder, which was carried out with great secrecy, comes out.
Pradyumna Kumar had an affair with two young women. When his wife found out about his relationship with nurses Ajitha Bhuyan and Rosie Patra, there were some problems. The solution they found was murder. The young woman was taken by her husband to the house of one of his lovers. When he got there, the man and his two friends held him tightly and then injected the anesthesia medicine into his body.
When Subhasree lost consciousness, the man took the woman to the hospital to make sure it was not a murder. It was said there that he tried to commit suicide and that he was in a weak state. But he died before reaching the hospital. Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner Pinak Mishra said the accused confessed to the crime when questioned.
Police say the investigation is still in its early stages. A special team has been formed to investigate. If necessary, the police will take the accused into custody and go into matters including the circumstances of the murder again.
