To Borisov: What is the government’s position on the trade in human life? –

/ world today news/ “What is the government’s policy regarding privatization and the deliberate obstruction of state and municipal hospitals”.

This question was addressed by the chairman of the National Assembly of the BSP, Mikhail Mikov, to Prime Minister Borisov during the blitz control in the plenary hall. He explained that in 1999 an opportunity was given for private business in health care. According to him, for these 16 years, the money paid by citizens for health services has increased over 1000% and separately about 45% is paid under the table and in private establishments.

“The population of our country has decreased by 2 million people, and for the last 5 years, the money that goes from the health fund to private medical facilities has doubled – from 15% to 30%,” he explained. Mikov emphasized that in recent months, due to the limits, state medical facilities have been limited in receiving resources from the health fund. According to him, the idea of privatization of the state and municipal hospitals is brought into this whole situation. “The feeling is that deliberately, by limiting the possibilities to receive funds from the Health Fund and with the introduction of this law, a situation is created that works in favor of private business in health care – the trade in life and health,” Mikov said categorically. He explained that according to the Constitution in Art. 52 says that the state must guarantee access to medical care and free use of medical care when people pay their health contributions.

“It is good that it is stated from the parliamentary rostrum that the government is no longer behind the privatization of hospitals,” emphasized the leader of the left. He emphasized that when it comes to such privatization, the profitable medical institutions will be privatized, and others, such as the infectious disease wards, will be left aside. The chairman of the BSP stated that the prime minister’s answer was also a call to the plenary hall to drop the part about privatization.

Mikhail Mikov said that the left will do everything possible to help get out of the difficult situation in health care.
