His family were waiting for him at the airport, he was returning from London to spend the All Saints’ holiday with his relatives. They would never have thought that he would remain in the house for four months, under an execution order that included house arrest. The measure was issued three years ago, in 2021, for facts dating back to a long time ago, to be precise in 2009. The crime is that of personal injury.
When the man disembarked from the plane on Wednesday afternoon, he was subjected to the ritual border checks, and there the problem of the measure remaining suspended came to light. Immediately the agents, coordinated by the deputy police commissioner Dino Petitti, decided to carry out further checks and were able to ascertain that, in fact, the man was burdened by a measure requiring him to serve four months under house arrest for an affair dating back to fifteen years ago. The provision had not been applied because the man had been untraceable on Italian territory since 2020. Once all the ritual checks were completed, the border police personnel proceeded with the execution of the order and accompanied him to the house where he will have to serve his sentence. the four month sentence.
