Publicis Zurich: Politics at eye and ear level

At the beginning of November it’s that time again: as part of the youth session, the young generation takes over the Federal Palace. With the campaign “No plan from politics? Call!” The aim is to get young people excited about politics and to promote the youth session. Included: A specially set up helpline.

In Switzerland, young people come into contact with politics very late. Often it has to do with not communicating on an equal level. Young people feel intimidated by big words and adult rhetoric. But an understanding of democracy only comes about if you actively participate.

Publicis’ new campaign aims to overcome this generation gap. In the form of a helpline for young people. You can call 0800 150 100 and have your peers explain complex political issues to you over the phone. The whole thing works with an automated response system in all three national languages. On the other end of the line are Loucas, Luisa and Rubie. Three young people who speak freely and unfiltered about the housing situation in Switzerland, the future of e-mobility and the importance of European politics. Always followed by the application of the youth session. In addition to political education, the campaign is also intended to generate registrations. With the newly learned political tools, intensive debates in the Federal Parliament are practically taken care of.

Following the example in Bern, young people are also firmly in control of the conception and implementation of this campaign. The project team, consisting of learners and graphic designers, implemented all communicative measures from start to finish on their own
Direction.

The subjects will be seen moving and static on social media, as Tik Tok videos and Instagram posts. The campaign is also running on posters in schools and as T-shirt prints. The youth session will take place from November 7th to 10th.
