During the night of Monday October 28 to Tuesday October 29, near Toulousethe cars of two educators from l’US Colomiers, a big club of football of the agglomeration, were set on fire an hour apart, In two municipalities distinct. In response, the club will exercise its right of withdrawal for ten days.
The house caught fire in the home of a family of four children
According to our information, the first victim’s car was burned around 2 a.m. The second fire, which occurred at the second educator’s house, an hour later, could have much more terrible consequences : “His garage caught fire. Fortunately, he realized this. He had to be evacuated in the middle of the night with his four children, including a newborn. Do you realize? », is indignant Patrice Maurel, technical director of US Colomiers, very touched by the facts.
“His house is destroyed,” he adds, furious. The coach and his family, who, fortunately, did not have any physical after-effects, were able to be relocated.
A coincidence that raises questions
The coincidence is unlikely. On the one hand, cars have been burned the same nightIn two different cities… has about twenty kilometers of distance. On the other hand, the victims are both coaches of the under 11 team (U11). Does anyone blame the educators at US Colomiers? And why?

Could this be any act of revenge from the entourage of a child not retained by this club which – he does not hide it – aims performance ?

The club has “all its teams at the highest level » and count 793 licensees. “If we could accommodate 3,000, we would,” says Patrice Maurel, well aware of the situation.
“Expectations from football have become very high. To the point that we almost had deaths! This is unacceptable,” sighs the director.
No training or matches for ten days
In reaction to these shocking eventsthe club decided to exercise the right of withdrawal of all his educators: for ten days, no training and no matches will not take place, except for the adult pennant teams.
“Stopping seemed to us the strongest thing to do to show our support to our two coaches and our anger faced with what happened,” explains Patrice Maurel.
The “total support” of the League and the District
Par a press release dated October 31, the regional football authorities reacted to provide their “total support” to the educators and the club after these intolerable acts: “Following the dramatic events which affected two educators from the US Colomiers club, the Ligue de Football d’Occitanie and the Haute-Garonne Football District join in the anger of the club and denounce the acts committed against them,” write their two presidents in a joint press release.
Our two authorities provide their full support to these two educators and hope that the police will be able to quickly clarify these heinous acts. Football is a game and must remain a game. It cannot tolerate such acts of violence.
