Legia Warszawa fans appeared in large numbers at the Miedź Legnica stadium during the final match of the Polish Cup 1/16. They started celebrating with chants directed at the supporters of a completely different club, namely Widzew Łódź.
The match between Miedź Legnica and Legia Warszawa is the last match of the 1/16 final of the Polish Cup. A representative of the Ekstraklasa and a participant in the league level of the Conference League went to the beginning with the second place of the 1st league table.
There was some confusion before the game, as reported by Weszlo.com’s Kamil Warzocha on Twitter video from his location. He said that the supporters of the club from the capital of our country decided to “have fun” on the highway near the stadium in Wroclaw by letting off flares. A lot of police showed up.
“Widzew kut****, today ef**k was on the way…” – you could hear at the beginning of the cheering of the Warsaw fans at the Miedź stadium. This seems to explain what happened earlier on the highway.
A new video from the scene of the incident has surfaced online, published by the Polish Fans Twitter account or Hooligans.cz.
Widzew also played their match in the Polish Cup on Thursday. Daniel Myśliwiec’s players eliminated third league team Lechia Zielona Gora straight after a penalty shootout. Before that it was 3:3. After the final whistle the players of the Łódź team had a small talk with their fans.
As for Miedź and Legia, they are currently tied 0-0.
