ESPN Deportes presents the return of the Emmy Award-winning documentary series Greenland for its fourth season, premiering next Tuesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET. The three new episodes will air consecutively every Tuesday at the same time on ESPN Deportes. In addition, each episode will feature an extended version available on ESPN+ following their linear debut.

In season 4, Greenland takes viewers on a journey to three unique fields that showcase the power of soccer in unlikely settings: A remote community on Easter Island, a special territory of Chile located in Polynesia; the vibrant streets of San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the rhythms of soccer and music collide, and a state prison in the heart of San Francisco.

Episode 1: Easter Island, Chile – Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET

The season kicks off on Easter Island, a remote volcanic island that is part of Chile, located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Home to less than 8,000 habitants and a rich ancient culture, the island has its own local soccer leagues that bring the islanders together. However, its isolation poses challenges for growing teams and fostering competitive play. Greenland dives into this unique setting, showcasing the resilience of a community determined to keep their soccer traditions alive.


Episode 2: San Juan, Puerto Rico – Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. ET

The second episode takes Greenland to the Caribbean for the first time, landing in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Despite the island’s deep-rooted connection to music, soccer has carved out a significant place in its urban culture. Greenland dives into the fierce rivalry between two local clubs, Don Bosco and Quintana, and how soccer brings joy, pride and unity to the streets of San Juan.


Episode 3: San Francisco, CA – Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET

The final episode takes viewers to San Francisco, where soccer serves as a powerful tool for social integration. At a state prison, former inmates have become soccer coaches, helping inmates use the sport as a vehicle for personal growth and rehabilitation. This inspiring story illustrates how soccer can foster positive change and create life-changing opportunities, even in the most challenging circumstances.

Since its debut in 2021, Greenland has visited 18 unique soccer destinations around the world, highlighting the passion for the game in some of the most unlikely places. The series has been recognized with two Sports Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Feature Story in Spanish,” solidifying its place as one of ESPN’s most compelling original series.
