The Heritage project in Bedford, which aims to construct housing units on numerous lots, has reached a new stage in recent days.
The Graymont company transferred to the municipality 30 lots served by municipal infrastructure on Alcée-Rocheleau Street.
For the general manager of the Town of Bedford, Richard Joyal, this is a win-win situation for both parties involved.
Mr. Joyal explains the type of housing that should be implemented:
The Bedford municipal council will consider the continuation of the file at the beginning of 2025 when the land could be sold to individuals or make a call for project proposals.
Note that a park with an observation site, a reception pavilion and water games are planned in this sector, all under the management of a trust.
