Komdigi official arrested by police in connection with online gambling

JAKARTA – The National Police arrested officials and several people at the Ministry of Communications and Digital ( Comedy ) related to cases of suspected criminal activity online gambling .

Karopenmas, National Police Public Relations Department, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said that his party is currently investigating the officer.

“Polri investigators are still working so far, so we are waiting for results from Polri investigators,” Trunoyudo told reporters, Thursday (31/10/2024).

“Regarding one of the employees of the Ministry of Communications and Information (Kominfo), an investigation is still being conducted to deepen the investigation,” he continued.

Trunoyudo confirmed that the arrest is the commitment of the National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to eliminate online gambling, according to the instructions of the President Prabowo Subianto.

“National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo is committed to eliminating online gambling in Indonesia. The National Police will continue to conduct investigations until they are ready,” said Trunoyudo.

“The National Police Chief has also instructed all levels to support the Asta Cita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, as well as various government programs and policies,” he continued.
