[서울=뉴스핌] Reporter Song Eun-jeong = Daedong is holding the ‘1st European Excellent Dealer Family’ where excellent European dealers will experience the brand competitiveness of Daedong Group’s major technologies, products, and production systems for 6 nights and 7 days in Korea from October 22nd to 28th. It was announced on the 31st that ‘Day’ was held.
This event was held in November last year to strengthen partnerships with local dealers and promote brand loyalty to KIOTI, a global agricultural machinery brand, and corporate vision for Daedong Group, following the ‘2023 KIOTI European Distributor Competition’ held in November of last year to target the European market for mid- to large-sized tractors. It was carried out to deliver. Based on the sales performance of European distributors and local dealers in the first half of this year, about 70 people, including excellent dealers and distributors from 18 European countries, were invited to Korea.
On the 22nd, a tour of the Daedong Daegu factory and Changnyeong Development Headquarters was held, followed by a welcome dinner. At the Daedong Daegu factory, brand understanding was promoted through product exhibitions such as small, medium, and large tractor models, small construction equipment, and engines, demonstrations for each model, and factory line tours including product production and assembly, quality control, and shipment. Afterwards, they moved to the Changnyeong Development Headquarters and had time to understand Daedong’s AI robotics business through demonstrations of robot mowers and self-driving transport robots. At the welcome banquet that evening, Daedong’s key executives and employees welcomed the outstanding dealers and the head of the European branch, Kang Seung-gu, personally presented plaques of appreciation to the dealers and encouraged them.
On the 23rd, we visited Daedong Mobility S-Factory and toured the production process of sub-compact tractors and zero-turn mowers, as well as the smart factory-based product production and quality management system. Afterwards, we moved to the Daedong Seoul office and spent time increasing the need for and understanding of AI-based smart agriculture, including the smart farm and AI home cultivation machines located on the 5th floor. Afterwards, the schedule included a tour of Seoul’s major tourist attractions to gain exposure to and enhance understanding of Korean culture and history.
Jose Machado, a Portuguese dealer who participated in this event, said, “It was an opportunity to increase brand trust through the production, assembly process, and quality control of Kaioti products.” He added, “Through this tour, Daedong is pursuing other than Kaioti products.” “It was meaningful because I was able to learn more about future agriculture and business in detail,” he said.
Kang Seung-gu, head of Daedong’s European branch, said, “The European dealer tour was planned to expand sales from existing small and medium-sized tractors to medium and large tractors with more than 60 horsepower and to strengthen market dominance by introducing various products such as small construction equipment.” He added, “Through this tour, partnerships between dealers were planned. “We will maintain continuous ties so that Europe can become an outpost where Daedong’s existing and future businesses coexist.”
Meanwhile, although the overall tractor market in Europe has decreased by 10% compared to the previous year, Daedong European Corporation aims to achieve sales of 100 billion won in 2025 by pursuing a two-track development strategy for small and medium-sized tractors and medium and large tractors.
