Interior design chain Casa is applying for protection against creditors with a view to restarting

In 2023, Casa International had more than 2,500 employees in around four hundred stores in eight countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal).

As part of a recovery plan to return to profitability by 2026, the group closed or sold 46 stores in various countries this year and also reduced its workforce. At the beginning of the summer, Casa also organized a big sale.

A Casa spokeswoman did not want to provide more details about the store closures and job losses today. Casa only says that jobs were lost “both at headquarters and in the rest of the organization.” In Belgium, Casa currently has 64 stores and 415 employees, of whom 310 work in the stores.
