Programs that promote continuity in the creation of Mexican communities in the USA are promoted by Consulate of Mexico in Nogales, Arizonathrough two initiatives whose main objective is to invite the children a draw and exhibit their talent in the facilities of this diplomatic office binational.
On social networks, this office, through Institute of Mexicans Abroadhas extended an invitation to participate in the vote of the “This is my Mexico” contestwhere the works of children between 6 and 14 years old who have completed a drawing that best represents their places of origin, describing their magical towns and neighborhoods. These drawings will be exhibited at a later date, and the call closes on October 30.
Likewise, at the local level, a series of competitions were held in primary and secondary schools to learn how children imagine the Day of the Deaddespite not living it on the Mexican side. The works will be presented at the consulate offices this Wednesday starting at 5 pm, where an altar will be set up and Consul General Marco Moreno Báez will share with attendees the meaning of these traditions.
