Prime Video releases trailer for new maple syrup comedy

Prime Video is launching a new original series on December 6, 2024. The Sticky is a dark humor comedy loosely inspired by the true story of the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Robbery. The lead role is played by Margo Martindale, who has won three Emmy awards.

The series tells the story of Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale), a middle-aged maple syrup producer who turns to crime due to the threat of dispossession by the authorities. To do this, she teams up with an impulsive gangster from Boston (Chris Diamantopoulos) and a good-natured security guard (Guillaume Cyr). Goal: to plan the robbery of Quebec’s maple syrup reserves worth millions.

Inspired by a real-life robbery that made international headlines in 2012, “The Sticky” combines comedy and drama. The series will be executive produced by actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who will also appear in a guest role.
