Throne begins! Japan’s best university tennis player – Tennis News – Tennis365 | tennis365.net

The All-Japan Intercollegiate Tennis Championship Match (Tokyo/Ariake Tennis Park, Hard) to decide the best university tennis player in Japan will begin on October 30th. The first round of the men’s and women’s matches was held on the 30th.

The tournament is held in a tournament format with 10 male and female schools that have won the regional leagues. The men’s competition will consist of three doubles matches and six singles matches, while the women’s competition will feature two doubles matches and three singles matches.

Last year, Keio University won the men’s competition, and Tsukuba University won the women’s competition.

In the men’s first round held on the 30th, Aichi Gakuin University defeated Okayama University 8-1, and Tohoku Gakuin University defeated Hokkaido University 6-3, making it through to the first round.

Meanwhile, in the women’s first round, Niigata University of Health and Welfare defeated Hokkaido University 3-2, and Kanoya University of Physical Education defeated Matsuyama University 5-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.
