The duty station of the North-Eastern LU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for transport received a statement from the head of the ship repair plant about the theft of a washing machine from the protected territory of the enterprise.
As a result of operational search activities, a previously unconvicted 55-year-old resident of Yakutia was detained. The man admitted to the transport police that while working he noticed a washing machine near the garage and decided to take it. He explained his action with a desire to help his beloved, who did not have the funds to buy household appliances.
To carry out his criminal plan, the man arrived at the plant in a company car. He loaded the washing machine into the back, covered it with boxes and took it out of the enterprise. The damage caused to the organization was estimated at 15 thousand rubles.
Now the criminal case initiated under the article on the secret theft of someone else’s property, together with the indictment approved by the transport prosecutor, has been transferred to the court. A measure of procedural coercion was applied to the accused – an obligation to appear.
