Last night in the NBA was marked by victories for the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors, while the Utah Jazz continue to sink into a negative spiral. The Mavericks won 120-114 against the Minnesota Timberwolves thanks in particular to an epic duel between Kyrie Irving and Anthony Edwards. The Warriors managed to overturn a 20-point deficit to dominate the Pelicans, despite the absence of Stephen Curry.
Irving and Edwards engage in a high-flying duel
The match between Dallas and Minnesota kept all its promises with a spectacular clash between Kyrie Irving et Anthony Edwards. The Mavericks leader scored 35 points, including a superb 6/8 from three points. But Edwards was not to be outdone, responding with 37 units on the clock, including 7 successful shots out of 13 attempts.
Despite Edwards’ XXL performance, it was the Mavs who left with the victory. In the final moments, Luka Doncic, quite discreet until then with “only” 24 points, made his only three-point shot of the evening to give Dallas a decisive advantage.
Luka was clutch, as often in important moments. He knew how to be patient and bide his time.

A fourth defeat in a row for the Jazz
Nothing is going well with Utah, which conceded a fourth consecutive defeatthis time at home against the Sacramento Kings (113-96). Rudy Gobert’s teammates, limited to 7 points and 8 rebounds, were quickly left behind, already falling 12 points behind at the end of the first quarter (34-22).
With a scathing 29-14 conceded in the third act, the Jazz saw their last hopes of victory disappear. Domantas Sabonis was the main architect of the Kings’ success with 28 points on the clock. The Jazz will try to achieve their first success of the season on Thursday against the Spurs.
Golden State recovers despite the absence of Curry
Deprived of Stephen Curry, injured in the ankle and probably absent several games, the Warriors had to draw on their reserves to win 124-106 against the Pelicans. Getting off to a bad start, trailing by 20 points at the start of the second quarter (34-14), the Californians made a good comeback before the break (51-47).
A fiery final quarter allowed Golden State to take off for good, despite the good performances of Zion Williamson (31 pts) and Brandon Ingram (30 pts) on the New Orleans side. Buddy Hield and his 28 points carried the conquering Warriors despite their leader’s withdrawal.
It’s a superb collective victory. Everyone contributed, the bench was fantastic. This is how we will have to play while waiting for Steph to return.
