The registration process for the distance modality of virtual education will be in force until November 6, as reported this Tuesday, October 29, by the Ministry of Education.
The State portfolio recalled that this educational offer is aimed at people over 18 years of age, in addition to “providing accessible learning environments through information and communication technologies, adapting to the inclusion needs of the population.”
The modality, he mentioned, is intended for young people, adults and older adults who, for economic, family or social reasons, have not completed the sublevel of higher basic general education or the high school level. It is also open to deaf people with unfinished schooling.
The educational process lasts five months for each grade or course, in addition to two weeks for the preparatory phase. The study schedule is flexible.
What are the requirements to access this modality?
Applicants in national territory must present:
- Identification document (identity card, passport or refugee card).
- Be 18 years old or older to enroll in higher basic general education or high school.
- Contact information (phone number and active personal email).
- Student record or placement exam resolution.
- Electric light sheet (optional).
For Ecuadorians residing abroad (United States, Chile, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium and Hungary), registration is done online through using the self-service option.
The requirements under this profile are:
- Identification document.
- Be 18 years old or older for higher basic general education and high school.
- Contact information (phone number and active personal email).
- Take the placement exam (from January 22 to 24, 2025 through the educational platform).
The Education portfolio detailed that the study texts and educational materials will be provided in digital format and will be available through the virtual classroom for students of this modality. (I)
