This was said by the sociologist and candidate for mayor of the capital, appointed by the BSP-Sofia City Council Prof. Mihail Mirchev, during the initiative to remove the prohibition regime for entering the “Lozenets” residence.
“I am deeply convinced that when it comes to state institutions in Sofia, the mayor of the capital cannot be passive. He can enter into mutual relations with the state and, as in the case of a minister – the minister of defense, put pressure on him and something that can be used, be used by the people of Sofia,” added Prof. Mirchev. According to him, the “Lozenets” residence is one of the many green, beautiful and well-maintained places in the capital, which, however, is used by some people who, for a very high price, come to have family and other celebrations, and for residents of the capital it is fenced off and unavailable. “I think the initiative will succeed because it’s about basic common sense and nothing more.” I hope very soon, even before the start of the election campaign, that this park will be opened and will be gifted to the citizens of the capital”, said Prof. Mirchev.
