(ANSA) – SAO PAULO, OCTOBER 27 – The mayor of Sao Paulo, Ricardo Nunes, 56 years old, of the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB, centrist) defeated the federal deputy Guilherme Boulos in the runoff, with almost 60% of the votes , of the Socialism and Freedom Party (Psol, far left), stopped just above 40% of the preferences. With over 75% of the ballots counted, the result is irreversible according to Datafolha, the polling institute of the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo.
