The Panamanian Adalberto Carrasquillaa member of the Houston Dynamo and recently chosen as the best player of the year 2023-2024 in CONCACAF, was sent off in the Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff match against Seattle FC.
The 25-year-old midfielder received a straight red card for alleged violent conduct after a confrontation with rival team players in the 66th minute at Lumen Field. The action was reviewed in the VAR, where the referee confirmed Carrasquilla’s inappropriate and violent behavior.
During the match, Carrasquilla registered 31 touches of the ball, with 18/25 in accurate passes (72%), 1 key pass, 1/1 in long balls, 1/1 in dribble attempts, 4/6 in ground duels won and 2 fouls received.
The match ended 0-0 in regulation time, but in the penalty shootout, the Sounders won 5-4.
