Through an “app”, the residents of San Francisco have all the services in one place

Starting this week, the citizens of San Francisco have at hand a mobile application that centralizes different services in one place. It is a tool that will allow them to easily and quickly access services, information and carry out procedures such as claims, emergency reports, metered parking, among others.

The appcalled “San Francisco”, was developed jointly between the Municipality and the local Regional Faculty of the National Technological University (UTN), within the framework of a mutual employment agreement which both parties signed some time ago, and is now available for download on Android, while in the coming days it will be available for the iOS operating system.

In this first stage, the items of Complaints (103), Eyes on Alert (neighborhood safety), Metered Parking, Turner for different procedures, City of Events with a calendar and fine consultation service are active.

In a second stage, more services will be incorporated into the new app, including:

  • Bondi: a report on lines and schedules of the urban bus service. Developed by students from the IPEM No. 96 Professor Pascual Bailón Sosa school, added to the work together with the Secretary of Innovation where it will show the location in real time.
  • San Francisco en Bici: city public bicycle loan service.
  • Chatbot: an intelligent chatbot that will allow dialogue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to resolve any citizen concerns.

Simplification

Regarding the application, Mayor Damián Bernarte highlighted that this initiative seeks to increasingly “simplify” the services for residents so that they have all the information and all services just one click away.

He also recognized the students of Ipem No. 96 Professor Pascual Bailón Sosa” for his contribution to the development of an app which allows in a clear and didactic way to know the routes of the urban passenger transport lines.

“This is how community is built, between the municipal State, the university, secondary schools and the participation of neighbors. All essential elements for San Francisco to show itself as a powerful and thriving city that progresses,” said Bernarte.
