the head of diplomacy leads the Malagasy delegation – Newsmada

Foreign Minister Rasata Rafaravavitafika heads the Malagasy delegation to the 17th Common Market Affairs Forum for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa), which was held yesterday at the Kigobe Convention Centre, in Bujumbura ( Burundi), on the theme “Let’s accelerate regional integration through the development of regional value chains in the areas of climate-resilient agriculture, mining and tourism”.
On the program, the business forum and a council of ministers in charge of cooperation and foreign affairs of Comesa member states. Note that this Forum precedes the 19th meeting of Foreign Ministers today as well as the 23rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of Comesa, on October 31.
As a reminder, a few months ago, Madagascar celebrated Comesa Week celebrating its 30th anniversary, at the Anosy Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was a great first on the Big Island. Comesa represents a key trading partner for Madagascar, with annual exports ranging between $50 and $100 million. And the country is one of the first countries to apply the 100% tariff reduction from the year 2000.
