An announcement that makes people happy. “This is a decisive step for our club. We are proud of this progress and look forward to welcoming you soon on our home turf.”the sports club is already delighted.
Until then, the club trained on a football field in Ougrée and had to systematically travel to play matches, either in Rocourt or Embourg. “It’s starting to get really far away. By creating these infrastructures here in Neupré, we are increasing the attractiveness of the club which is on a good roll.”says Charles-André Verschueren.

Work costing 1.3 million euros
It is therefore official, the land should be ready for the summer of 2026, announces the municipality. The municipal authority will carry out the work for around 1.3 million euros, using its own funds. “We preferred to finance this work with our own funds without applying for “Infrasports” subsidies. We are limited to one application submission and we prefer to keep this application for another future project”explains the alderman.
Thus, the old football field will be upgraded and then covered with synthetic turf. The surroundings of the sports infrastructure will be equipped with fences for the protection of the public. A concrete slab should also be poured to provide a temporary reception area for the club, a cafeteria and changing rooms. A path to access the parking lot to the land will be created.
A second hockey field?
“It’s a place dedicated to sport that we hope to develop subsequently by putting, for example, a clubhouse and larger changing rooms. We have a longer-term vision and we possibly have the possibility of extending this sporting activity with the creation of a second hockey field We will have to buy plots of land but we know that if the need arises, we can guarantee a second field.concludes Charles-André Verschueren. Please remember, however, that the club will pay a rental fee in order to use this land. Other activities can be done on the site.
