SMILE is included in the SATU SEHAT platform
The Indonesian Ministry of Health launched SATU SEHAT Logistik, an important part of the SATUSEHAT platform designed to strengthen the medical logistics system throughout the country.
SATUSEHAT Logistics integrates pharmaceutical and medical device supply chain processes, from production, procurement, to distribution at regional and health facility levels. Through this platform, health data is centralized to increase efficiency and accuracy in monitoring and distributing medicines and medical devices.
Distribution is done randomly real time through the Electronic Health Logistics Monitoring and Registration System (SMILE), according to the mandate of the Minister of Health No. HK.01.07/MENKES/1568/2024.
Control of the availability of drugs is greatly influenced by the implementation of monitoring and evaluation. Currently, efforts have been made to expand the use of the Immunization Monitoring and Logistics Electronic System (SMILE) for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (ATM) program drugs. Use is extended to the District/Municipal Health Service, which is then extended to the Community Health Centre, including other program drugs and basic health service drugs. Through registration in SMILE that will be integrated with Satu Sehat Logistik, it is hoped that data on drug availability can be used to make decisions regarding out-stocks and/or over-stocks.
