The new iMac with M4 was designed with the environment in mind, using 100% recycled aluminum for the stand and 100% recycled gold plating, tin solder, and copper for several printed circuit boards. iMac meets Apple’s high energy efficiency standards and is free of mercury, brominated flame retardants, and PVC. The packaging of this year’s new iMac is entirely fiber-based, bringing Apple one step closer to its goal of eliminating plastic from packaging by 2025.
Apple is currently carbon neutral in its global operations, and plans to achieve carbon neutrality across its entire carbon footprint by the end of the decade as part of its ambitious Apple 2030 goals.
Price and release date
● Customers can pre-order the new iMac with M4 starting today, October 28, at apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app in 28 countries and regions, including the United States. This product will begin shipping to customers starting Friday, November 8, and will be available at Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers.
● iMac starts at $1,299 (USD) and $1,249 (USD) for Education and is available in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. It features an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB of integrated memory configurable up to 24GB, 256GB SSD configurable up to 1TB, two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad.
● The iMac with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU starts at $1,499 (USD) or $1,399 (USD) for education and is available in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. It features 16GB of integrated memory configurable up to 32GB, a 256GB SSD configurable up to 2TB, four Thunderbolt 4 ports, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad.

● Apple Intelligence is now available as a free software update for M1 and later Macs, and is accessible in most regions around the world when your device and Siri language are set to US English. The first set of features is in beta and available in macOS Sequoia 15.1, with more features expected in the coming months.
