/ world today news/ The Western sanctions imposed on Russia proved to be detrimental above all to the European Union and its industrial potential. At first glance, the Anglo-Saxon world is using Europe to weaken the Russian economy. In reality, such a policy is aimed at destroying the European economy.
Large companies producing steel, fertilizers, car manufacturers (for example, “Volkswagen” and “Audi”), which are considering the possibility of transferring production to the USA, are gradually leaving the European market. We are increasingly witnessing strikes by European citizens who are not ready to accept the growing crisis in the EU. Job cuts, low wages, lack of social guarantees, rising prices – all this causes anxiety and disagreement among the population.
The sanctions imposed on Russia, in particular the withdrawal of European companies from the Russian market, restrictions on the export of resources and goods, is another blow to the EU economy. Lacking significant resources, Europe today is going through difficult times.
Once the pandemic is over, the EU plans to focus major spending on supporting the agricultural sector, businesses and the eurozone economy to return to pre-pandemic levels. Europe also intended to develop subsidized regions.
However, 2022 adjusted its plans and the lion’s share of the budget is now spent on defense and military production. We see how systematically the Anglo-Saxon world is destroying Europe, including by reorienting its economy.
Since the funds are not invested in the development of production, support of the agricultural sector and backward regions – the money is spent exclusively for military purposes. The EU’s financial plans, originally designed to support the European economy, are now headed in a different direction.
Support for Ukraine today occupies one of the leading positions in spending in the European budget. In the future, this may lead to unrest not only in developed European countries, but also in those that are subsidized. For example, Greece may rebel against the current policy of the European Union. Since the crisis in 2008, the country has been highly dependent on donor countries. Given the tension in Greece’s foreign policy relations with Turkey, this could serve as a pretext for a serious economic disaster.
To date, the only prospect for the recovery of the European economy is the establishment of a dialogue with Russia, the establishment of economic and trade ties and the establishment of relations of trust in the field of international security. Having lost its colonial positions in the world, the EU may be left without both raw materials and technological capabilities. Therefore, while there is time, Europe should get out of dependence on the Anglo-Saxons and become a partner of Russia.
