As part of the nationwide start-up week in Germany, the economic development department of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district is offering two interesting events for aspiring founders. Both dates offer practical information and the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and like-minded people.
The founders’ get-together will take place in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district on November 21, 2024, with the focus on the ALWIN project (Active Vacancy Management for Wittlich City Center). ALWIN aims to revitalize empty shops through innovative business models.
Participants will find out first-hand how the project helps founders find suitable business premises and the advantages of setting up a business in downtown Wittlich. Christian Baeger, founder of the Fumatorium C.Cigars, will talk about his personal experiences and give valuable insights into the founding of his business.
In addition to the project presentation, the regulars’ table offers the ideal opportunity to network with other founders, exchange experiences and gather inspiration for your own start-up. Both people who have already founded a company and those who are still planning to start a business are invited.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Further information and registration at www.bernkastel-wittlich.de/gruenderstammtisch
The day before, on November 20, 2024, the economic development agency, in cooperation with the Trier Chamber of Crafts, is organizing an information evening for founders in the craft sector. The essential steps towards successful self-employment in the craft sector are presented here.
The focus is on topics such as legal and tax requirements, company and personal insurance and the employment of employees. The event is aimed at everyone who is planning to start a business in the skilled trades and offers the opportunity to ask specific questions of experts.
The information evening begins at 5:30 p.m. Further information and registration at www.bernkastel-wittlich.de/hwkgruender
With these two events, the business development agency offers valuable support to aspiring founders and promotes networking within the regional start-up scene. Participation in both events is free.
