Franco and Valentín, the grandchildren of Cris Morena, told about their professions and dreams

The meeting was emotional from the beginning. Susana Giménez opened the doors of her living room to Cris Morena and her grandchildren Franco and Valentín Yan, in a conversation that not only touched on the topic of art, but also risk, dreams and, above all, Romina’s legacy. This was the first time that both young people shared with the public the details of their lives, revealing hitherto unknown facets, in an intimate talk that resonated with nostalgia, love and evident family pride.

Valentín, the younger of the two brothers, spoke with captivating energy about his passion for speed. He is a racing driver, and his eyes shone as he talked about the karting and cars in which he trains daily, dreaming of one day representing the family in Formula One. He currently races in karting and works for Marcelo Ambrogio’s TC2000 team, gaining experience and facing the challenges that motorsport poses. “I’m waiting for next year to be able to make my debut,” he said, while his grandmother Cris, with a tone of humor but unable to hide her concern, confessed: “You don’t know how fast he runs. “I am terrified.” The driver, surprised, asked if it was true that he had already broken a rib on the track, and, with a smile that combined pride and mischief, she confirmed it: “It’s true. But I love it. “I am the black sheep of the family,” he added with a laugh.

Behind that image of a risky pilot, however, Valentín has another passion: singing. “I always loved singing,” she admitted sheepishly. Cris, touched, explained that the young man continues his singing studies with the same teacher who once guided Romina. But until now, the young man prefers not to expose himself too much in public: “I’m ashamed,” he confessed. His love for music is deep, but at least for the moment, it is a private corner that he treasures without showing it beyond his inner circle.

Franco, on the other hand, chose to embrace his mother’s artistic legacy from a much more visible place. Acting captivated him from a very young age, and he himself clearly remembers the moment he knew he would act for a lifetime. He was barely eight years old when, in the living room of his house, he presented a small improvised play for Romina, who looked at him excitedly. “There I said ‘I think this is my thing,’” the young man shared at the time, remembering the moment with a mixture of nostalgia and pride. From that moment on, he followed his mother’s path, studying at a prestigious theater university in London, where he was admitted after passing three rounds of auditions in which only fifteen of eighty applicants managed to enter. “Acting in English awakens something different in me, it’s as if something else was born in me,” he explained, describing how the characters acquire a new nuance by expressing themselves in another language.

Cris Morena, who was also there to present her latest creation, Margarita, described her grandchildren with deep pride, excited to see how each one takes their own path, despite the inevitable comparisons with Romina. The new series is a project with an emotional tone, almost a love letter, and one more in the long series of successes with which Cris seeks to perpetuate the energy that Romina left in her family and the public. In the end, the conversation in Susana’s living room was not just an interview: it was a portrait of a family that, beyond successes and tragedies, continues to reinvent itself and move forward with the same strength.
