The 18-month-old war has forced nearly 3 million Sudanese to flee the country. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reports that around 11 million people are displaced. He came with his sister and mother. They didn’t know where their father was. She was fleeing with her children when the war broke out in their village too,’ said Waseem.
On April 15, 2023, war broke out in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. Eventually the power struggle between the two main factions in the military system turned into a deadly war.
