Certa Stampa – ISOLA DEL GRAN SASSO, COUNCILOR ACCUSED: “THERE IS AN ANTI-SPORTS MAJORITY”

But not only that, it was also suitable for hosting the various annual recreational events for our children and teenagers (San Martino, Carnival, etc.) or for events such as the Commemoration of the Battle of Selenyj Jar organized by the Alpini, now of national importance.

What better venue than the Sports Center with its multi-purpose covered field a stone’s throw from the city centre?

I won’t bother to go over when and how much work went behind this project, which started with the renovation of the Gym and Changing Room, which cost almost ZERO to the citizens of Isola because it was the result of specific public funding as reported by the writer in the local newspapers last November.

When the mayor declares that the completion of the Sports Center is no longer a priority because so much has already been invested in Sport, perhaps he doesn’t realize what he is saying because in terms of municipal resources less than 80 thousand have been spent in 4 years, also including the reclamation of the Panico landfill area and its changing room so as to allow the relocation of the weekly market.

The rest of the larger interventions were financed with State, Regional and Commissioner funds specific to these objectives, such as the New Grandstand of the Football Field which is the most expensive work financed with a Specific Measure of the PNRR, or Commissioner Funding for damages to Sima and Sisma Neve 2017, respectively Spogliato gymnasium and Campo Panico; or the 2020 regional sports facilities tender for the former middle school gym.

This is to make it clear that huge municipal resources have not been committed, giving priority to some rather than other local needs.

So the reflection that I leave to the citizens of the island is the following:

Because the only objective of this Administration which was conceived, written in the electoral program and one step away from its completion with the most important and strategic work achievable in less than 4 months, is abandoned less than 12 months from the end of the Mandate ?

Perhaps because it was an explicit will of the Writer in Thinking about it, Writing it and Realizing it?

Perhaps to delude the future electorate of Fano a Corno rightly disappointed with the failure of the failure to build the Square, justifying themselves with the usual untruths and asking for another possibility of continuity of the mandate?

Why do some Majority Councilors who are unaware and opposed to this choice, in conflict with the electoral agreements, not make themselves heard?

Why, 1 year after the end of the mandate, now resigned from the countless administrative political failures, do they also guarantee their assent on the increase in the IRPEF and TARI rate?

Perhaps they have traded public interest priorities for other priorities?

What “political coherence” lies behind the appointment of the Sports Councilor less than 1 year ago, just after having obtained all the documents in order to complete the Sports Centre, if the completion is then given up?

What “political decency” lies behind the participation in the council resolution to hijack the mortgage and therefore formally renounce completion, despite the presence of the Councilor himself being irrelevant?

This is why, in my point of view, the current Majority can appropriate the nickname “Unsportsmanlike Majority”, precisely because it respects neither the Moral Rules nor the Political Rules of the agreements made with the Citizens and I would even say with themselves.
