“There is a misconception that a person with HIV should always feel bad. In fact, the disease can remain silent for up to 10 years. The carrier can live peacefully without showing any symptoms – rash, swollen lymph nodes, fever, insomnia,” Nadezhda Ivanova emphasized to the audience and spoke about the characteristics of the virus.

According to the infectious disease expert, you should also not be afraid of public baths and saunas, because here you need a bath full of sweat to get sick.

The most likely ways: the virus can enter the child’s body from an infected mother, through contact with the blood of an infected person, it is usually transmitted sexually – more than 80% of cases. Therefore, the doctor advised to use condom more often. In the 90s, HIV was believed to be a disease of slaves and prostitutes. Now the picture is different: every hundredth Russian has HIV, and in Chelny, a population of half a million, more than 2,500 people are registered at the AIDS center, and among them are leaders, teachers and staff -business. Therefore, a person’s appearance or respectable status is not a sign of the absence of HIV infection, reports the corporate newspaper Vesti KAMAZ.

Any Russian has the right to donate blood free of charge and anonymously at a clinic at his place of residence, and here you can also get a disease-free certificate. Another good news is that a person has three days to prevent infections, Ivanova noted, adding that health workers are aware of those 72 hours, and for many in working communities information will be so it’s a revelation. After the test, tablets are prescribed if necessary, and the patient visits a doctor every three months. If you have any doubts, you should contact a specialist immediately, Nadezhda suggested. The infectious disease specialist also gave advice on how to avoid becoming a patient at the AIDS center due to visits to beauty salons and dental clinics.

“Choose only licensed dentists or tattoo parlors. You are supposed to tell the expert: “Open the package in front of me. “The packaging with needles and all tools must be sterile and individual for each person, otherwise you risk getting an infection,” said Ivanova.
